Constance on the Edge

HOW TO HOST A SCREENING

Screenings can be held anytime, at any venue, wherever you are in Australia.

You can host a Constance on the Edge screening as a fundraiser for your activities, or simply as a conversation starter, to bring the community together to talk about how everyone can play a part in welcoming refugees.

There are two screening options available:

OPTION 1 - CINEMA

Work with us to host a screening event at your local cinema.

The Constance on the Edge team will work with you, and possibly other partners such as the local multicultural centre or social justice group to present the film at your local cinema. Together we promote the screening and the selling of cinema tickets.

A Cinema Licence Fee of $550* applies to each screening.

Cinema hire costs and ticket revenue to be negotiated.

The Cinema Licence Fee includes everything needed to plan and promote a successful screening event:

  • 1 x Digital Cinema Projection (DCP)* with an 80 minute version of Constance on The Edge
  • A comprehensive Screening Kit to assist in planning
  • A Discussion Guide for a post-film Q&A to expand the audience’s engagement with the issues raised in the film
  • Digital artwork for invitations and posters
  • Video trailers/highlights to promote the film on social media
  • An event ‘run-sheet’ and on-screen slide for audience ‘Take Action’ information

If you would like to work together to host a cinema screening please get in touch via admin@constanceontheedge.com to discuss a screening plan.

When a host organisation would like members of the film team or a moderator to facilitate a panel discussion following a screening there will be additional costs (to be negotiated) to cover attendance, travel and accommodation.

* The $550 Cinema Licence includes a DCP (Digital Cinema Projection) hire fee. A DCP is a specialised high quality format required by commercial cinemas. The DCP Drive must be returned after your screening.

OPTION 2 - COMMUNITY

You choose a venue and organise the screening, taking responsibility for venue hire and associated event costs.

This could be your workplace, university or local community centre – any setting with a DVD player or data projector.

Then it’s as simple as purchasing a Public Screening Licence for your screening of the film:

$350 for a one-off public screening up to 100 people

$450 for a one-off public screening for 100 people or more

The Public Screening Licence includes everything needed to help you plan and promote a successful screening event:

  • 1 x DVD or Drive with a 77 minute version of Constance on the Edge
  • A comprehensive Screening Kit to assist in planning
  • A Discussion Guide for a post-film Q&A to expand the audience’s engagement with the issues raisedin the film
  • Digital artwork for invitations and posters
  • Video trailers/highlights to promote the film on social media
  • An event ‘run-sheet’ and on-screen slide for audience ‘Take Action’ information

For organisations who would like to hold multiple screenings we have a MultipleScreening Pack:

$575 for up to 5 x Public Screenings

Organisations interested in hosting more than five screenings can negotiate rates with the film team.

If you are ready to host your own screening, you can purchase a Public Screening Licence from our online WEBSTORE
